Random 2

so i figured the last post was pretty long so no new posts would be needed for a while.

i have been listening to the where the wild things are soundtrack today by karen o and the kids, definitely one of the best soundtracks ever and a brilliant album in general. Particularly like all is love and building all is love, and the cover of daniel johnstons worried shoes is amazing. On top of that the book/film was really good too, escaping to a new world and being a king isn't that the dream? well maybe minus being king as i don't reckon that would actually be all that fun.

was thinking of how to describe albums better and thought the best way is to describe something that it sounds like, as people normally do that for new food they taste although a white meaty kind of food, that someone tastes for the first time, normally always ends up tasting like chicken. i suppose it always taste like chicken because chicken is the universal meat, poor chickens would have done better for themselves if they were a nasty tasting meat. luckily though there is no universal music. Unfortunately i can't really pick out something similar to karen o and kids, pretty unique sounding mellow catchyness awesomeness, which is probably why i love it so much. However for the previous artist i talked about, lacrosse, i would probably say a mixture between noah and the whale, passion pittyy with sort of a kinksy feel. hmmm i supppose that was no better than my previous awkward review, guess i'll have to try and come up with another way to review music on here, again.

First randomness

Well this feels weird, writing on a blog, never really thought of my self as a blogy type, but well everyone seems to be doing it, not to say i am a sheep or anything but i do like browsing through friends blogs and seeing what they are up to and their general musings and it always seems to ward off any boredom, or prolong procrastination. Procrastination is in fact what i am doing right now, as i have an exam on thursday my last one of three, revision is going pretty dam rubbish, but hey. Since i seem to love procrastination so much i thought why not welcome my new blog into the world through procrastination, so here it is, well you probably no that if you got this far. I wonder who would actually read this, i suppose that is the one of the thoughts that comes into peoples heads whenever they start a blog who is bored enough to actually read my blog? if you are reading it please stay a bit longer as i will stop digressing and start blogging. Ok so i from reading friends blogs it seems music and general musings are a big part of the blog, so i shall probably talk about music and general musings, although hopefully i can talk about other stuff too. Please forgive my punctuation, spelling mistakes and general miss use of phrases as it will happen often, as i do not ever properly check what i write after i write it, a major flaw of mine.

Ok so music, most people love it and everyone listens to it (i mean who, can obviously), even if it is just birds, as that is still music! I no it is probably the most over said phrase in the whole of society, but lets be honest if there was going to be a phrase that was over said in least let it be a phrase that is good and i love music is such a phrase, in least in my opinion. Ok so i always try and find new bands using various means and love finding a great band no one has heard of, or in least not many people, one such band is lacrosse, who are probably one of my favourite bands at the moment, although i could never ever ever have a favourite band in least i don't think i could.

Each time i put on a artist i like i just remember why i liked them and think well it can't get better than this? till i put on another artist i love, a endless cycle of love (also a corny phrase??). Ok anyway back to Lacrosse if you haven't heard of them i couldn't recommend them highly enough, although i have mainly listened to their album ''this year will be for you and me'' which is a great nay brilliant album, i am starting to listen to their second album ''Bandages for the Hear'' which is also really good although if you were to listen to them please listen to their first album first. I suppose the songs are a bit lovely dovey, although having said that one of the songs is ''no more lovesongs for you'' so may be not so lovely dovey at all? maybe it is the opposite of lovey dovey, then again what does lovey dovey even mean? thinking about it now is that actually a phrase, lovey dovy? Maybe i am talking about lovey dovey in the sense of happy music, I think i may have said lovey dovey a bit too much, whoops. Anway that isn't really the reason i like them, although i do really love the lyrics. I suppose it won't be everyone's cup of tea as it is very indie and not everyone likes that which is fair enough, however for people who do like indie you may like it. For those that don't i have general musings in the next paragraph if you wish to skip, or if you are feeling adventurous please carry on. I always find it amusing when people describe music, i mean how can you describe music, putting how you feel about it into words just seems like a fish out of water, (for marine biologist i am talking about perciform fish, as i no there are many fishes which are not exactly fish like, in least as most people think of fish) in the water a fish is streamlined, elegant, fast but out of it, it is clumsy and out of place. Music is all the things fish are in the water and then when you put it into words it seems clumsy and out of place. However in the name of the blog i shall attempt to describe Lacrosse, although i do believe listening is the best review music can get. Um soo Lacrosse, i would say is a happy kind of music, catchy, great guitar sort of mellow with loads of layers. It has a great tone that is just easy to listen to. If you wanted to just listen to one song i would say ''go ego go'' which has a great guitar part and really good lyrics, also good song title! Or ''I'm not afraid'' another great song. Haha after all that talk that review was really lame! however at the moment i really can't think of a better way of describing it, so please do not go on this rubbish review and go and listen to them, i do believe they are on spotify. I shall also endeavour to try and make the ''clumsy out of place words'' better.

Ok so now on to general musings, if your still reading then thats pretty impressive as i have rambled on quite a bit. I was thinking today about reincarnation, don't no why just started thinking about it. firstly i believe it is a interesting concept and if it makes people lead better lives then all the better really, the world could definitely do with more selfless and good people. Most of my musings on reincarnation was based on assumptions from what i have seen on tv and films, so i may be well off. From what i heard reincarnation believes that you shouldn't harm any type of life form including fruits and plants, and before i go on i am in no way endorsing killing and needless killing of animals! i was thinking in terms of reincarnation, so if i was ever reincarnated as a plant or say a worm, if i had a brain to think this way, would i actually mind that much if someone killed me? I mean if someone killed me as a worm, which i am presuming is not exactly the most fun form of life, killing me would hasten my next reincarnation meaning i could then be reincarnated as something better, say a dolphin. I mean i don't actually believe in reincarnation so it doesn't really matter, but i was just wondering how someone who did believe in reincarnation would actually respond to someone saying that. Hopefully i haven't offended anyone.

So there, there is my blog hope you enjoyed, if anyone has read this far that is as it is an extremely long first blog! sorry about that i do tend to ramble :S

Well back to fun ol revision now!! joy.
